Child’s Play is a collection of 20 “rescues” or rediscovered pieces by 11 historical women composers. They are loosely placed in progressive order, covering a wide range of ability from early intermediate to advanced players. These books were compiled for piano students, teachers and all curious souls young and old looking to explore beyond the ordinary canon.
Most of these composers are relatively unknown women and repertoire not found in any other book or collection. In most cases, these composers have published far more than the few signature pieces included here. Hopefully, from curiosity and even demand, more works by these women will find their way into the hands of pianists young and old.
